About Lessonly

Lessonly (lessonly.io) is a scheduling and booking platform for independent driving instructors. These Terms govern your use of the platform. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

If you have questions, contact us at lessonly.io@gmail.com.

Who can use Lessonly

Lessonly is intended for driving instructors operating in the UK. You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal right to offer driving instruction services. Students do not need an account and are not bound by these terms.

Your account

  • ·You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • ·Each account is for one instructor. You may not share access with others.
  • ·You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • ·Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

Subscription and billing

  • ·Lessonly is offered on a monthly or annual subscription. Prices are shown on the pricing page and include VAT where applicable.
  • ·Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel beforehand.
  • ·You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
  • ·We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods, but if you experience a technical failure on our side we will review requests case by case.
  • ·Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store card details.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • ·Use the platform to send spam, unsolicited messages, or misleading content to students.
  • ·Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
  • ·Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the platform.
  • ·Use the platform for any purpose that is unlawful or violates anyone's rights.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

WhatsApp messaging

Lessonly sends WhatsApp messages on your behalf via the Meta Business Platform. By using the messaging features you confirm that:

  • ·You have a legitimate basis (booking consent) to contact each student whose number you enter.
  • ·You will honour opt-out requests promptly.
  • ·You comply with Meta's WhatsApp Business Policy.

Your content and data

You own the data you bring into Lessonly (student contacts, availability, booking history). You grant us a limited licence to process it in order to run the service. We will not use your student data for any other purpose.

On cancellation you may request a data export within 90 days. After that, data may be deleted.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not liable for losses arising from downtime, missed bookings, or undelivered messages caused by third-party infrastructure (WhatsApp, Vercel, etc.).

Limitation of liability

Lessonly is a tool to help you manage your schedule. We are not responsible for the outcome of any lesson, driving test, or student relationship. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. We will give at least 14 days' notice of material changes by email. Continuing to use the platform after that date means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
